Prior to coming to Linklaters I used to go to Specsavers, lured in by their promotions. I ended up spending a fortune on glasses that were unusable. The customer service at Linklaters is amazing! All the staff are lovely and professional and efficient. As my eyesight has gotten worse over the last couple of years and I need varifocals, they have helped me navigate the transition with help choosing frames, tints to help with glare and aftercare like tweaking the nose and arms for a perfect fit. Highly recommended them to everyone!

Had to make an urgent appointment and was seen on the same day. The optician did some thorough tests followed by an urgent referral to the hospital. He was very understanding and reassuring throughout the examination. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I needed an urgent checkup after a gardening incident had potentially damaged my eyeball. Linklater’s saw me within a day & carried out a thorough examination, free of charge (via NHS), which confirmed I hadn’t irretrievably damaged my eyesight, much to my relief. I can’t thank them enough for their help & professionalism to put my mind at rest. Excellent customer service throughout & I would highly recommend them.

My experience with Linklater Opticians is and always has been very good. I have using the same optician now for around 15yrs.
The staff are most pleasant and are always ready to help..i have always been greeted with a smile.. They have a eide range of frames to choose from and their patience whilst im choosing new frames is amazing..if i want advice they are very happy to help..which is usually very good advice...on my experiences past and present i know that i will always choose Linklater Optician.....K tothill ..

I recently developed severe blepharitis symptoms and had to find the right optician to seek treatment. Linklater is the perfect choice - not only is getting in touch with their staff and getting an appointment smooth but also you can be seen as soon as you're available. The appointments have been warm and understanding, and the staff empathetic and friendly. I've had IPL treatment for my condition over four sessions, and each session has been pleasant and informative.

Most importantly, over the sessions and beyond my symptoms have greatly improved - reduced redness and inflammation, reduced rate of eyelid infection, and reduced sensation of dry eyes. Extra aspects to the treatment were included and I have a booster session in one year - so this is truly value for money. Linklater will be my optician of choice from here on.

Had a combined eye test (annually) and contact lens test (bi-annually) recently and had the usual professional and polite experience. I would recommend having the OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) test as it can detect numerous health conditions in addition to the obvious eye problems that may occur. Although the test costs £30 it is a small price to pay for a check on a wide range health issues that can be detected at an early stage and consequently resolved as a result.

My husband attended the Linklater Opticians in Dartford, for the first time, to have his eye checked following a visit to A&E. We were very impressed by the Optician Dipak who carried out a thorough examination and explained everything clearly and reassured us.
I was so pleased with the attention to detail and the kind manner my husband was dealt with I decided to book
my eye test also which was due.
From the eye test to collecting my new glasses, it was a positive experience. Lewis who help me with selecting the glasses was also very thorough. He explained all options
and offered his advise but I did not feel pressurised. I was given space and time to make my own decision.
I am very happy with my new glasses and my husband and I will be returning to Linklater in Dartford in the future.

I come back to Linklaters over and over again because I appreciate the friendly service and the quality of the finished spectacles. There is plenty of choice, in terms of frame styles and prices, and eye tests use up-to-date tech. I recently visited to book an appointment as I had a chalazion on my eyelid. I was told at the visit that a referral would be made but it could be quite a wait. Within 6 weeks of my visit to Linklater I had the chalazion removed. All the staff in Linklater are very friendly and approachable. I would recommend them.

I have been to Linklaters for many many years with excellent service and I would thoroughly recommend them. They always make you feel relaxed when both examining your eyes and helping you choose glasses that suit you and not their pocket. If there's any health issues with your eyes there is no hesitation to refer you to more specialist clinic ASAP. Also if there's a problems with your glasses they are happy to sort this with no hesitation.

I took my mum for an urgent assessment of her eye symptoms. Firstly, we only had to wait two days to be seen. The receptionist was very polite and courteous on the phone and when we saw her in person.
The optician was very thorough, spoke to my mum clearly and concisely explaining every test and the reasons behind it. He reassured her and made her feel at ease. We left there very satisfied.

I have been coming to Linklater for many years and the customer service is exceptional.
The eye test was very thorough and I also had the new retinal scan which shows up any hidden problems which could be developing.
They have a good range of frames and are always happy for you to go back for any adjustments needed.
All in all a much nicer, calmer experience, with much more attention to detail than you find in one of the big chains.

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! When I first visited, I had -5.00 vision and was seeking an alternative to glasses or daytime contact lenses. The optician was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain how Ortho-K lenses work, ensuring I felt confident and informed throughout the process.

The fitting process was smooth, and the optician’s expertise really showed — they made sure everything was tailored perfectly to my eyes. Since using the lenses, my vision has improved beyond my expectations; I now have better than 20/20 vision!

These lenses have truly been life-changing, and I’m so grateful for the outstanding service and care I received. If you’re considering Ortho-K lenses or looking for an optician that goes above and beyond, this is the place to go!

I have been visiting Linklaters opticians for the best part of 55 years, my mother used to take me there for my eye tests when I was a young boy but in recent years I have tried other high street opticians having been put off Linklaters by the high cost of their spectacles. But recently went back as they now have the facility to examine my eyes more thoroughly although this procedure does cost extra. However I was pleased and impressed with the knowledge and expertise shown by all members of staff who showed great consideration and care during my visit. All elements of my eye test were clearly explained to me as well as all the options when it came to buying a new pair of glasses which were ready in a week. Those glasses have proved expensive but give excellent vision and the friendly member of staff who oversaw the fitting ensured me that should I be unhappy with any aspect of the glasses I could return them for alterations. The place itself was warm, comfortable and pleasant with an amiable atmosphere. I recommend Linklaters very highly the only draw back being the high cost of the glasses.

I came to Linklaters via a GP referral for red, swollen, itchy eyes, which were watering continuously.. Dipak, the Optician, very quickly diagnosed Meibomian Gland Dysfunction ( MGD), and dry eye.
I then embarked on a course of IRPL with Dipak.
I have now finished a course of four treatments, and my eyes feel absolutely wonderful.
An enormous thank you to Dipak, and all the staff for being so helpful, and professional.

Myself and my daughter now attend Linklater. I have previously been having all my eye tests and new spectacles from a large optician chain, but the service and ongoing support has declined overtime. Poor experience. I went in with a foreign body in my eye that was causing me severe pain. I’m not local and this was the second opticians I’d walked to, first being too busy I was directed here as a quieter location.
When I arrived the clinic was empty and the optician was out running errands.
I was asked to sit, told he will be back shortly and he may choose to see me when he comes back.
I waited and when he arrived back I was told he check my eye for £50, which I didn’t have. I asked about the A&E id been directed to if this opticians wouldn’t see me. They told me it’s a waste of time to go there as they don’t have an eye doctor anymore. That it’s not an A&E I need but a walk in clinic, obviously different information than I’d previously been given at the other opticians I’d just come from who told me I could go to A&E if the second optician wouldn’t see me as I should not leave this eye problem untreated.
This left me feeling I didn’t know who to believe about what, or what information was correct. I also thought it was odd an A&E could not have eye care options but I didn’t want struggle taking a long train, in pain, in a foreign area and turn up some place only to be told I would not be seen there as well. Apparently it’s normal NHS England procedure to not treat/ op out of treating people who aren’t local (I’m registered with a GP in Scotland but not England so not covered)

I have used Linklater Opticians for a number of years because of the high level of customer service compared to the high street chains. The current owner of this practice has not only maintained this standard but has surpassed it by using state of the art equipment to provide an accurate assessment of one's eye health. Each stage of the process is clearly explained and a considered recommendation is provided at the end. If you want a quality experience this is the place to come!

I’ve been this practice several times for myself as well as my family. I’ve recently moved home but I travel from North London as I know I’ll get excellent, honest advice, unlike some larger opticians I’ve been to. The staff are friendly and professional and I’ve never felt rushed when I’ve attended for eye exams or when purchasing glasses. Highly recommended. Many thanks for your care!

Excellent professionalism when taking care of my mum. This is from inital tests, all the way to choosing the correct frame with lenses.

This opticians provides genuine care, friendly and understanding of patient needs. They went above and beyond their duty of care, especially the Optician I saw, Dipak who went out of his way to help me resolve issues with my eye care which was outside of his immediate role as an optician. Fantastic service and very highly recommended.

Always met with a friendly face and experienced advice. Both Reception and Opthalmic staff are professional and helpful with advice. Nothing is too much trouble and they have even offered me varying different trial contact lenses in the bid to save money on my daily disposable lenses.
Definitely my best decision to change opticians to Linklaters Dartford.

Changed my optician to Linklater as I wasn’t satisfied with my old optician, it was the best move I’ve made the service was second to none and the professionalism was outstanding throughout, not the cheapest but well worth every penny I’ve spent getting the result I was looking for…

What a great experience as always with this amazing opticians. I have been to Linklaters for many years and have always commended them for their amazing service.
From the amazing optician herself (Irish lady) receptionists and the brilliant Andrew who will fit your glasses to perfection. Cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 opticians.
